If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the playfulness of the     water have people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience.
