The scenic beauty of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Matheny Creek have people coming here. This stretch of Matheny Creek in Washington is 9 miles long and has been rated as a class IV+ section by American Whitewater. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance |

from Amanda Park. Matheny Creek is a pretty wet place ordinarily with a good deal of precipitation. December is the wettest month with most rain while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime
highs at Matheny Creek ordinarily tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Matheny Creek dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.
