The beautiful scenery of Okanogan County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of     people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. This stretch is long enough for an overnight   trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. Briefly about the general area: The slopes of Echo Valley are so inviting nobody can resist, and there are plenty of folks from Methow here at Methow River. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. A tour to Alta Lake State Park when you're here at Methow River is never a bad idea, and Minneapolis Beach is a beach nearby that you can check out. This river is so great. Methow River is generally a quite arid place. All through the month of December you get the most snow around here, and the driest of the months is July.
