CLASS IV-V     2.9 miles
  This stretch of Money Creek in King County is 2.9 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Getting your paddling muscles
    activated and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots
of paddling rivers. The Upstream of Money Creek Road Bridge stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This section is quite short so  
you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.

Briefly about the general area:
Don't leave Money Creek without first going for a hike along the Middle Fork Trail, and there are plenty of people from Baring here. That right there is lots of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. There's perfect hiking along the Pratt Lake Trail, and splendid skiing awaits you at Stevens Pass. This river is so perfect. Summertime highs at Money Creek mostly tend to be in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
