  The Clearwater Creek to Heisters Creek stretch of Nooksack River - Middle Fork in Whatcom County is 4.5 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The nature scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water attract people
    from near and far. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The starting point is not too far from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. When you're
paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Clearwater Creek to Heisters Creek
