  If you're coming from Mount Vernon-Anacortes it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The wonderful Whatcom County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The Mt. Baker Wilderness to Nooksack Falls stretch of Nooksack River - North Fork is 4 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American
    Whitewater. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. There's camping available near Nooksack River - North Fork. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking
you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting  
and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. The Mt. Baker Wilderness to Nooksack Falls stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus.

Briefly about the general area:
Mt.Baker has fine slopes and a friendly staff. A large amount of rainfall falls at Nooksack River - North Fork. Of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Nooksack River - North Fork reach the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
