Pictures from Nooksack River - South Fork, Washington:

The Lummi Nation installed 22 engineered log jams (ELJs) in the summer of 2022 between river mile 18.7 and 18.4. There are two channel-spanning log jams at river mile 18.6, on each side of a forested island. There is no safe passage through this section of the river. Please egress prior to reaching these structures. The left braid has 3 or 4 more ELJs that require safe navigation around. - Alex Levell
