If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. This section of Olequa Creek in Washington is 6.5 miles long and is a class II+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Not too     many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Annonen Road to Cowlitz River section is one of them. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The starting location is a short drive from Centralia, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for   more. The campgrounds here at Olequa Creek are pretty good. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. Briefly about the general area: Seaquest State Park is a good place to stretch your legs a bit, and beaches are good and Red Mill Beach is no exception. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Olympic Mountains. Here at Olequa Creek there are plenty of people from Vader, and a pleasant beach nearby is Dibblees Beach. This river is so good. Olequa Creek is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall. The month with most of the rain is December, and the driest month is July.
