CLASS II     9 miles
  The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop
    paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This section of Puyallup River in Washington is 9 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. The natural
beauty of Washington and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around  
here.

Briefly about the general area:
Here at Puyallup River you'll probably meet some folks from Orting, and a spree to Saltwater State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. An average amount of rain falls at Puyallup River. Most of the rain falls through December while July is commonly the driest month. Summertime highs at Puyallup River commonly tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Puyallup River.
