  The beautiful scenery of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Puyallup River beats anything. The put-in is not too far from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, as you can see on the road map further down. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
    The campgrounds here at Puyallup River are pretty good. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This section of Puyallup River in Pierce County is 6.1 miles
long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the McMillin to Puyallup stretch is just one of them. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving.

Briefly about the general area:
 
On a gorgeous day you can have a look at Caledonia Beach next to Puyallup River, and do put some time aside to spend at Wildwood Spring since you're here at Puyallup River. You undeniably must pop by Saltwater State Park if you're here at Puyallup River, and there are plenty of folks from Puyallup here. This river is so wonderful. Time spent at Des Moines Beach near Puyallup River is always splendid, and Dash Point State Park is both good and charming. The amount of precipitation that falls at Puyallup River is close to the national average. Of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is July.
