Washington whitewater, Sherman Creek

Ferry county, turnout to fish hatchery section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS V     1 miles
The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Spokane, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section of Sherman Creek in Washington is 1 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater. The turnout
to fish hatchery stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This is a very short section so better bring some good walking shoes. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while
are great reasons to come. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The natural beauty of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling places.
