Washington whitewater, Silver Creek

Lewis county, Lynx Creek to Mary Kiona Park section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS V     4.5 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the playfulness of the water beats anything. This section of Silver Creek in Lewis County is 4.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V section. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. There
are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. There's camping available near Silver Creek. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. Some people prefer
whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. The starting point is not too far from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, as you can see on the road map further down. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus.
