The Brandeberry Creek to Hyas Creek stretch of Sitkum River is 9.6 miles long and it is classified as a class II-V section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Clallam County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if
| you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Brandeberry Creek to Hyas Creek section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. Briefly about the general area: The Pass Trail is a
tremendous hiking trail near Sitkum River, and Bogachiel State Park is a good place to go. These mountains rock, just check out all the cool things to do in the Olympic Mountains. If the weather is good here at Sitkum River,
you can go for a hike along the Rugged Ridge Trail. Sitkum River is a wet location that gets much rainfall. November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July.
