The starting location is a short drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nearby hotels are a |
bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus
| for this river. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking | |

in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy.
Briefly about the general area: Here at Skykomish River there
are plenty of people from Gold Bar, and Wallace Falls State Park is a lovely place any time of year. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Skykomish River gets lots of water. December
is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. High temperatures at Skykomish River through the days of summer are in the 70's.
