If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camping stuff too. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade
Range is great. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The beautiful scenery
of Snohomish County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving.
Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Big Eddy to Monroe section is just one of them.
