  The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. Some people
    prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. This stretch of Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork in Washington is 7.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater
as a class II section. The campgrounds here at Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork are pretty good. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Taylor River to Concrete bridge section is just one of them. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. The beautiful scenery of King County and  
the water flowing gracefully down Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork beats anything. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

Briefly about the general area:
You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Alpental since you're here. There are good sites to look at along the Pratt Lake Trail, and Olallie State Park is a delightful place to go. This river is always fun. Going for a hike on the Mount Defiance Trail is always a nice adventure. Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation.
