  Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. If you're coming from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This section is long
    enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system,
the Concrete bridge to Tanner section is just one of many. This stretch of Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork in King County is 7 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. The scenic beauty of King County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with  
plenty of places for that. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.

Briefly about the general area:
The fine people of North Bend like to hang out close by; tremendous hiking is available along the Pratt Lake Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Olallie State Park is worth taking a look at if you're at Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork; don't leave Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork without first going for a hike along the Mount Defiance Trail. A river like this is too good to miss. During the months of summer at Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork highs are typically in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
