The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The starting point is not too far from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, if you're not familiar     with the area there's a road map further down the page. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Spur 10 Bridge to 428th St. Bridge stretch is just one of them. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Snoqualmie River   - North Fork are reasons enough to come here and paddle. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Defiance Trail, and Kanaskat-Palmer State Park is both good and lovely. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Snoqualmie River - North Fork is not far at all from North Bend, and Olallie State Park is a glorious place to go to on a beautiful day.
