| in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The wild scenery of the Olympic Mountains is great. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
Briefly about the general area: While you're here at Sol Duc River you can take a hike along the
Mink Lake Trail, and during your tour here you'll meet some folks from Port Angeles for sure. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Olympic Mountains. Have a good hiking adventure
along the Aurora Trail. Sol Duc River is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rain. Most of the rain falls through November, and July is the month with the least moisture.
