This stretch of Tieton River is 8.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. There     aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Windy Point Campground to Naches stretch is just one of them. The natural beauty of Yakima County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Briefly about the general area: A splendid location in the vicinity of Tieton River is Clint Canyon, and Tieton River   is not far at all from Naches. At Tieton River you don’t see much rainfall. December is when you get the most snow here while July is commonly the driest month. Through the summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Tieton River while night lows are mostly in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Tieton River fall into the 20's.
