The starting point is not too far from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, as you can see on the road map further down. The Yellow Creek to South Fork Tolt stretch of Tolt River - North Fork in Washington is 7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V+ section. Tolt River - North Fork. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve
| in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. | |

This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Yellow Creek to South Fork Tolt section is just one of many.
Briefly about
the general area: This is a popular spot for folks from Duvall; Wallace Falls State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Northern Cascade Range. Places
like Olallie State Park are tremendous to have a look at. Through the summertime months highs here at Tolt River - North Fork reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
