  The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The Bridge to confluence with North Fork Tolt stretch of Tolt River - South Fork in King County is 5.9 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. If you're coming from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue
    it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon.
The Bridge to confluence with North Fork Tolt stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. The wonderful King County scenery and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you  
make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come.

Briefly about the general area:
Wallace Falls State Park is a great site to have a look at; the great folks of Duvall like to hang out close by. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing things. Olallie State Park is a good place. Tolt River - South Fork is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall. The month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July.
