  The Trout Lake to White Salmon River section of Trout Lake Creek in Washington is 2.8 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-IV section. The nature scenery of Skamania/Klickitat County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The starting location is a short drive from Hood River, please
    print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you
come because it is a very popular destination. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors  
have people coming from far and near. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.

Briefly about the general area:
At Trout Lake Creek you always meet someone from Trout Lake, and nearby you find tremendous places like Kilowatt Canyon. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the Northern Cascade Range. Time spent at Koberg Beach in the neighborhood of Trout Lake Creek is always great; a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Koberg Beach State Park. This river is always fun.
