CLASS V+     2 miles
  The starting point is not too far from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington are harder than the national norm, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations
    in advance you're all set. The natural beauty of Washington and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The to National Forest Sky stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system.
Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. This stretch is short so no need to bring snacks. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The to National Forest Sky section of Trout Creek is 2 miles long and is a class V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater.

A journey to Wallace Falls State Park when you're here at Trout Creek is never a bad idea, and a magnificent site to go to close by is Snowslide Gulch. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. People from Baring love to come to Trout Creek, and the snow is great at Stevens Pass. This is such a fun river. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Trout Creek. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Trout Creek are in the 20's.
