  If you're coming from Port Angeles it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. A good workout
    and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking
here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camp stove. The river winds through the Olympic Mountains and you get great scenery. This section  
of Tshletshy River in Washington is 20 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater.

Briefly about the general area:
If the weather is delightful here at Tshletshy River, you can go for a hike along the Hoh River Trail. The Canyon Creek Hoh Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close to Tshletshy River. Summertime highs at Tshletshy River frequently tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Tshletshy River dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
