The FS 2350 to Vance Creek Bridge stretch of Vance Creek is 3.5 miles long and     has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Shelton, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The beauty of the Olympic Mountains is a great plus for this river. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are   less manageable. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. This is a pretty short section so better bring some good walking shoes.
