This     river system is full of great paddling sections, the Mile 7 to Washougal River section is just one of them. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere.   The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Talbot State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Washougal Trail. This river has so much to offer. Lots of people from Corbett come to Washougal River - North Fork; a splendid place is Jackson Pass.
