The beautiful scenery of Chelan County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. You     can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch of Wenatchee River in Chelan County is 18.6 miles long and is a class III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back   for more. Briefly about the general area: Mission Ridge is a magnificent local ski area; why not take a refreshing hike along the Red Hill Trail. Peshastin Pinnacles is something you shouldn't miss since you're here at Wenatchee River. Wenatchee Confluence State Park is a fine place, and Wenatchee River is right by the Devils Gulch Trail. People from Dryden love to come to Wenatchee River, and Ollala Canyon is positively a great place to visit. From a precipitation point of view Wenatchee River is a rather normal spot. January is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July.
