Washington whitewater, White River

Pierce county, Buckley to Auburn section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS II     12.5 miles
The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The nature scenery of Washington and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. The Buckley to Auburn section of White River is 12.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. The starting point
is not too far from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Getting some good
exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. No need to look hard for hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.
