The starting location is a reasonable drive from Oak Hill, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while     are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. The wonderful Fayette County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Armstrong Creek beats anything. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in West Virginia is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners.
