  The CR 11/1 to confluence with Little Sandy Creek section of Beaver Creek is 1.1 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. The put-in location is a short drive from Morgantown, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The scenic beauty of Preston County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature
    are great attractions for lots of people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The rivers
for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the CR 11/1 to confluence with Little Sandy Creek stretch is just one of many. There are campgrounds  
quite near the river where you can camp.

Briefly about the general area:
People from Bruceton Mills love to come to Beaver Creek, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Mile Trail. There is a great hiking trail near Beaver Creek called the Great Gorge Trail. At Beaver Creek through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and the night is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's; overnight lows at Beaver Creek throughout the wintertime ordinarily sink into the 10's. Beaver Creek gets a normal amount of rainfall.
