This stretch of Clay Run is 0.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V+ section of whitewater. This is an extremely short section so no need to bring snacks.

and hiking is a popular thing to do around Clay Run; Mile Trail is a good local trail. Clay Run gets a normal amount of annual precipitation. The month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is February.
Through the summertime months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Clay Run while night lows are generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Clay Run overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
