  Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. The put-in is not too far from Morgantown, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Wildell to Burner stretch is just one of many. You might have to settle
    for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch of Greenbrier River - West Fork in Pocahontas County is 8.9 miles long and is rated
by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. The wonderful West Virginia scenery and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking,  
either way this is an area with plenty of places for that.

Briefly about the general area:
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Greenbrier River - West Fork; Lynn Knob Trail is a glorious local trail. Greenbrier River - West Fork is a place with many visitors from Durbin. There's good hiking along the North South Trail, and Monongahela National Forest is a wonderful place to go. This river is a wonderful place to visit. Greenbrier River - West Fork is a pretty wet place ordinarily with much rain. Throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here; February meanwhile is the driest month.
