  If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Clarksburg. The nature scenery of West Virginia and the water flowing gracefully down Holly River - Laurel Fork of Left Fork have people coming here. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll
    find a large number of good places. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. There aren’t any
hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Holly River State Park to confluence with Left Fork section of Holly River - Laurel Fork of Left Fork is 2.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too.

A splendid place like Holly River State Park close to Holly River - Laurel Fork of Left Fork is too wonderful to leave out; if you're visiting from Hacker Valley, you won't be the only one. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Salt Lick Trail, and do take a hike on the High Rock Trail. A river like this is too good to miss. Holly River - Laurel Fork of Left Fork typically gets a large amount of rain. The month with most of the rain is July while February is generally the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Holly River - Laurel Fork of Left Fork, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's.
