The Hominy Falls to Mt. Nebo stretch of Hominy Creek in West Virginia is 12 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. | in this state are good for beginners. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Hominy Falls to Mt. Nebo section is one of them. There's camping available near Hominy Creek. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag.

area: Go for a hike on the Carnifex Trail, and there are plenty of people from Mount Nebo here. Don't leave Hominy Creek without first going for a hike along the Perry Ridge Trail. All the water falling down from the
sky makes Hominy Creek a wet place. Most of the rain falls during July; February is when it's the driest. At Hominy Creek during the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. During
the winter highs are usually in the 40's with temperatures at Hominy Creek dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
