The put-in location is a short drive from Bluefield, as you can see on the road map further down. a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip.
| There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: Panther State Forest is a good place to take a look at, and you are
in the neighborhood of Joe Point if you're here. A pleasant place near Little Huff Creek is Canebrake Hollow, and you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Hanover here. Coming to this river is always a good idea. The
high level of rainfall makes Little Huff Creek a reasonably wet site. The month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is October.
