  The nature scenery of Randolph County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers in this state are good for beginners. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Clarksburg, as you can see on the road map further
    down. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels
fill up quick. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camp stove. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. This section of Middle Fork is 12.4 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There's camping available near Middle Fork. This river system is full of great paddling  
stretches, the Adolph to confluence with Long Run stretch is just one of them.

Briefly about the general area:
Going for a hike on the Rich Mountain Trail is always a fine adventure, and dropping by Audra State Park is a great thing to do. Here at Middle Fork you'll probably meet some people from Mabie; close by you discover the Raven Rocks Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. This river has so much to offer. Summertime highs at Middle Fork usually tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's; overnight lows during the winter for Middle Fork tend to be in the 10's.
