The wonderful West Virginia scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. This section of Muddlety Creek in Nicholas County is 4.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip.
| There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Briefly about the general area: Muddlety Creek is right by the Carnifex Trail, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Summersville here. Hiking along the Way Back Trail is great fun. Throughout the
long summer days highs here at Muddlety Creek reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows through the winter for Muddlety
Creek tend to be in the 20's. Muddlety Creek usually gets lots of rainfall. Of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
