The natural beauty of Wyoming County and the water flowing gracefully down Pinnacle Creek beats anything. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in West Virginia is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. This section is long enough     for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the CR 18 bridge to confluence with Guyandotte River section is one of them. The put-in location is a short drive from Bluefield, as you can see on the road map further down. Briefly   about the general area: The great people of New Richmond like to hang out nearby, and obviously, everyone loves Twin Falls Resort State Park. Pinnacle Creek is a wet spot that gets a lot of rainfall. July is the wettest month with most rain while October is mostly the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Pinnacle Creek, and the overnight is rather colder of course, usually in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Pinnacle Creek.
