The Bridge at Hiram to Tygart Reservoir section of Sandy Creek in Barbour/ Taylor County is 3.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V section.     distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The nature scenery of Barbour/ Taylor County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. This section is quite
short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
