This section of Seneca Creek is 13 miles long and is a class IV-V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The put-in is not too far from Staunton-Waynesboro, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Falls Of Seneca is a wonderful local attraction, and Canaan Valley
is a great local ski area. There is a fine hiking trail near Seneca Creek called the Little Allegheny Trail, and you'll in all probability meet some folks from Onego here. Lots of fun awaits you along this river. Going for
a hike on the Allegheny Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Much precipitation falls at Seneca Creek. The month with most of the rain is July while February is typically the driest month.
