The beautiful scenery of Taylor/Lincoln County and the water flowing gracefully down Big Rib River beats anything. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Wisconsin are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. The Highway 64 to Greiner Road section of Big Rib River is 2.45 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. |
There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The put-in location is a reasonable drive

There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Highway 64 to Greiner Road stretch is one of them. This is a short paddling stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
