The nature scenery of Clark County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. This is a pretty decent length section,     good for a one day paddling trip. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Highway 73 to Greenwood Park stretch is just one of many. This section of Black River in Clark County is 5.3 miles long and is a class I-II(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Wisconsin you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so better not forget that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. Whether you're whitewater   rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: Here at Black River you'll probably meet some people from Greenwood. From a rain point of view Black River is a quite common site. August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. For the duration of the warm months here at Black River, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's; the overnight is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Black River.
