The wonderful Marathon County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. This stretch of Black Creek in Marathon County is 1.4 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming |
back for more. This is a very short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Wisconsin are often more forgiving than in other
| states, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.
