This stretch of Black Creek in Marathon County is 1.4 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming     back for more. This is a very short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Wisconsin are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
