  The starting location is a short drive from Duluth, as you can see on the road map further down. The Copper Range Campground to Highway 13 section of Bois Brule River in Douglas County is 8.3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so keep in mind that many of the rivers in this state are
    not very demanding. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Since you're on this site you are
probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The Copper Range Campground to Highway 13 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The scenic beauty of Douglas County and the  
cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The campgrounds here at Bois Brule River are pretty good.

Don't leave Bois Brule River without dropping by Brule River State Forest, and you're sure to bump into some great people from Brule here. A journey to Lenroot Ledges will fill your spirit with nice feelings, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at May Ledges. Coming to this river is always a good idea. All through the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Bois Brule River with night lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 10's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Bois Brule River fall into the-10's.
