Wisconsin whitewater, Chippewa River Sawyer county, Belille Falls section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I-II     9.4 miles   This stretch of Chippewa River in Wisconsin is 9.4 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Sawyer County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Chippewa River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you     don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system   that can be paddled as well. Briefly about the general area: If you're visiting Chippewa River from Ojibwa, you won't be the only one. The Tuscobia State Trail is a nice hiking trail close to Chippewa River. High temperatures at Chippewa River during the long summer days are in the 70's while night lows are generally in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Chippewa River tend to be in the-10's. The yearly precipitation here at Chippewa River is about average.
