  Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. This section of Chippewa River - West Fork in Wisconsin is 7.4 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before
    you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. The beautiful scenery of Wisconsin and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves
reasons enough to come here to paddle. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. If you're coming from Eau Claire it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The Moose Lake Dam to West Fork Bridge section is one of many paddling sections in this  
river system.

Briefly about the general area:
Chippewa River - West Fork is right by the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail; lots of people from Ojibwa come here. Take a hike on the Tuscobia State Trail, and a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to close by Chequamegon National Forest. A river like this is too good to miss. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Chippewa River - West Fork. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Chippewa River - West Fork are in the-10's.
