The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Eau Claire, as you can see on the road map further down. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Wisconsin are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state are very easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby     but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Hervas Landing to Beaver Dam Landing section of Flambeau River is 5.3 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The Hervas Landing to Beaver Dam Landing stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around   here you'll find a large number of good places. Briefly about the general area: A tour to Flambeau River wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Second Cedar Rapids. There are plenty of people from Glen Flora here at Flambeau River, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Third Cedar Rapids. This is a great river. Flambeau River State Forest is a wonderful location to visit on a lovely day. An average amount of rain falls at Flambeau River. Of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. At Flambeau River during the long summer days highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's.
