The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: It's always perfect to check out Cornsheller Rapids, and you'll perhaps meet some folks from Hawkins here. Big Bull Rapids is a wonderful local attraction, and Flambeau River State Forest is a good spot to stretch your legs a bit. This river is so great. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Flambeau River - South Fork get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Flambeau River - South Fork.
