I love the Menominee River! It is the coolest place to live. I love fishing,tubing,floating and the cool things in and on the river. I have alot of fun on the river. All my friends like comming over and swim in the river.

the rivers in this state are not very demanding. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Iron Mountain, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The wonderful Marinette County
| scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. This stretch of Menominee River in Wisconsin is 2.9 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. bring some good walking shoes. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. No need to look hard for hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular
destination.
Briefly about the general area: If you like skiing, you're in luck; Norway Mountain is near Menominee River, and a tour to Menominee River wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Sand Portage
Falls. Lots of folks from Quinnesec come to Menominee River; a short journey to Sand Portage Falls is always worthwhile. At this river you will always have a good time.
